No pictures today, because today we slacked off.... too tired. LOL My feet currently hurt like crazy, and my stomach is so stuffed i cannot breathe. LOL
Have gotten off my ass and put up pictures...
So we started off the day with a jaunt to Cafe Sabarsky, a Viennese cafe opposite the metropolitain. Had excellent Viennese hot chocolate, together with scrambled eggs + potatoes and bacon. The hot chocolate (heisse schokolade) was not too sweet, slightly nutty. Rather light. Yum =)

Ran over to the Met, where I finally recharged my extreme cultural deficiency. ^_________^ Am happy. The special exhibit was on models and the evolution of fashion. Got to see many classic Vogue spreads on famous models, e.g. Twiggy, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista etc. etc. Very interesting! There were some slightly disturbing pics like one of a model looking like she was having an orgasm with a swan O_O and another with Giselle Bundchen's very large boob. lol. Otherwise, very cool pictures.

Swang by my fave section - the European Art Gallery, and saw some of my favourites by Monet, Renoir etc. Also passed by the Rodin sculptures. Discovered that they added some stuff to the European Sculpture Garden - Saw a replica of the Burghes of Calais by Rodin, which also stands in the Stanford courtyard. That was pretty cool. On my way out also saw a sculpture of what is probably the Pagan goddess that used to be the Starbucks icon - that two-tailed maiden.

They also added a new replica of the Suzhou chinese gardens in one section, which was really pretty. Although it was really kinda weird to see this in the middle of the Met O_o
After that we rushed to Chinatown to meet up with some of Sue's friends for Dim Sum at Red Egg. The food wasnt' that great so I'll not spend too much time on this... the key point here was we went to the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory to have the famous lychee sorbet (yum) and some jasmine green bubble tea from ViVi.

Also of note is that good ol' macs that will always bring back memories of my first trip to NYC. The "Two Floors of Seat-ing" (to be pronounced in faux HK-glish =)). I was rather amused to see that it now says THREE floors of seating instead of two..

Then trooped to SoHo for SHOPPING *hehehehehhee* Went to Uniqlo and spent...too long there *sheepish grin* Plonked down my usual expenditure in a uniqlo store (this is true whether the store is in japan or otherwise), and was amazed at how everything ended up costing that much... O_o Also spent too long in Mango (bought nohing), and Muji (bought a raincoat). Yes i'm very deprived. It amuses sue that all the things I am happy over demonstrate my severe deficiency in japanese things. LOL
Walked painfully back to chinatown again for Joe's Shanghai, best shanghai xiaolongbao in town. *sighs happily* wolfed that down =)

Managed to locate decent Oolong Bubble Milk Tea at TeaRen. Still not as good as Tea Era in Mountain View, but I can live with that =) Got to know two of Sue's friends, and it was a very enjoyable chat =)

And that's it for the night. =) Last night in NYC *cries* I dun wanna go baaaack T_T
